Marketing Email/Web Developer

We're looking for an experienced and talented Marketing Developer to drive the technical implementation and execution of marketing and transactional emails as well as help manage the design and build of marketing web pages across multiple brands. The primary duties of the Marketing Developer require an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while delivering a quality product.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Build emails and web pages from start to finish using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Ensure functionality and ability to troubleshoot issues within a variety of browsers, email clients and devices
  • Actively contribute to email development best practices
  • Experience with Mailchimp/Mandrill or similar ESP
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
  • Cooperate with designers to match visual design intent of all product and marketing collateral
  • Manage automated email campaigns in the email service provider platform, including setup, testing, deployment, and reporting
  • Manage user list development and implementation across multiple products
  • Work cross-functionally on email and website QA with the engineering teams
  • Identify and file bugs related to the website and emails and work with the Product Managers on prioritization and resolution
  • Create and maintain software documentation
  • Ability to work across different time zones, with different teams internally and externally.

You have are

  • Motivation to take on personal initiatives — we rely on the entrepreneurial spirit of everyone on the team.
  • Expertise with modern CSS  and JavaScript best practices
  • Fluency in HTML 5.0 and JSON required, including table based HTML and media queries as they pertain to responsive email design strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge and appreciation of responsive design
  • Ability to rapidly explore many different conceptual directions to arrive at the best solution
  • Experience using Git for source control
  • Experience using Jira for project management and product development
  • Experience building scalable, maintainable marketing websites
  • Knowledge of major ISP’s, email marketing, and anti-spam technologies is a plus
  • Familiarity with SMS and Push Notification marketing
