About this Role

Trōv is building an insurance brokerage specifically targeting sharing economy and emerging mobility companies. Our focus is on technology based companies where users share, use, borrow or deliver goods and services on-demand. We use our insurance expertise and on-demand technology platform to support the episodic risk created by these services. 

Trōv is seeking a talented insurance professional who wants to be on the leading edge of innovative and bespoke risk transfer solutions for our clients. Our ideal candidate will have a balanced skill set including technical insurance knowledge, established market relationships, superb interpersonal skills, an ability to work cross-functionally, and a passion for insurance innovation.

You will be joining a scrappy team with veteran insurance and technology professionals who are passionate about ensuring tomorrow’s economy. If you are obsessed with delivering technology based insurance solutions and helping change how people live, work, and move, we’d love to hear from you!

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Actively marketing to Trōv's carrier partners
  • Managing complex sales and on boarding processes
  • Effectively collaborating with other teams at Trōv and external partners to bring innovative products to market
  • Developing compelling insurance collateral that is presented to insurance carriers and clients
  • Leading the end-to-end process to deliver a bespoke insurance solution for each client working with Trōv teams and carrier partners
  • Need for travel (25%)

You have/are: 

  • 7+ years working in commercial insurance working in a core product or customer focused roles (e.g broker, underwriter, actuary, business development, consulting, client manager)
  • Strong technical insurance knowledge -- pricing, coverage, structure, risk profile. Industry designations (e.g. CPCU) a plus.
  • Intellectually curious with a desire to become an expert in emerging risk and discover new ways to create bespoke insurance solutions that are powered by technology
  • Strong sales, marketing, and communication skills are critical; must be able to demonstrate successful creation and management of external relationships
  • Exceptionally organized, personally accountable, and able to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross functionally beyond core role with product, actuary, executives, engineering, and business development
  • Enthusiasm for innovation, technology, and change within the insurance industry

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have/are: 

  • Previous insurtech experience
  • Insurance background in sharing economy or transportation
  • Fluent in French
