What’s covered?

We provide single item protection anywhere in the world for accidental damage, loss and theft.

How do I turn
on/off protection?

Your protection can last as long as you want and you can turn it ON or OFF at any time with a few taps from your Trōv.

When you turn protection ON, you’re billed for the time remaining in that month, then on the first of each month thereafter. If you turn protection OFF, you’re refunded the time remaining in that month.

How does pricing work?

You can choose from a range of prices depending on the excess you’re willing to pay in the event of a claim.

How do I claim?

With a few taps, report claims directly from your Trōv. If your item is damaged we will repair it for you. If your item has been lost/stolen or cannot be repaired, we will replace it with the same model (or a model with comparable features). We may require you to provide proof of ownership.

What’s not covered?

While many situations are covered, there
are some that are not.

  • Regular wear & tear

    (like dings & minor scratches)

  • Mechanical or electrical failure

    (this may be covered under manufacturer warranty)

  • Careless behaviour

    (take reasonable care of your stuff)

  • Any associated costs or losses

    (like medical bills, loss of digital files, rentals, etc)

  • Pre-existing problems

    (the item is already damaged, lost or stolen)

There is a cooling off period, which means you can change your mind and cancel your Trōv protection completely within the first 14 days of protecting your first item. This has the same effect as if the protection had never existed. As long as you haven’t made a claim, you will receive a full refund.

We aim to provide the highest standard of service, but if you do have problems you can contact us at Should you remain dissatisfied, you may be eligible to refer your case to the Financial Ombudsman Service. By purchasing protection through Trōv you are deemed to have accepted the AXA Privacy Policy.

We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme in the unlikely event we cannot meet our obligations to you. This depends on the type of insurance and the circumstances of the claim. Further information about the compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS (
